Dr. Shawn Lutz DC, CCSP

Dr. Shawn Lutz is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician with a passion for helping individuals get back to optimum health and performance. He uses a combination of hands-on soft tissue work, exercise rehabilitation and chiropractic adjusting. Dr. Lutz focuses on patients’ goals while providing tools which empower patients to achieve lasting results.
Dr. Lutz is an Active Release Technique (ART) Certified Provider, and an accredited Graston Technique provider. He is an energetic sports physician who has pursued additional training through the University of Western States Sports Medicine Program and the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. He also draws on knowledge of human movement and exercise physiology gained while attaining his Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Physiology at the University of Delaware. He uses these skills to provide exceptional care for soft-tissue injuries of all kind. Experience with post surgical rehabilitation, motor vehicle accidents, workplace and repetitive stress injuries round out Dr. Lutz’s clinical focus. Dr. Lutz has brought his skills to clinical practice, vocational injury prevention programs, and sporting events since 2010.
Dr. Lutz was born in Philadelphia, PA where he played high school tennis and ran cross-country. A long time outdoor enthusiast and Eagle Scout, he spends his free time in the outdoors as an avid rock climber, skier, mt. bikers, hiker and mountaineer. His urban athletic pursuits include cycling, running, weightlifting and cross training.

Dr. Taylor Owens DC, MS

Dr. Taylor is a board-certified Doctor of Chiropractic with focus on improving individual
movement and compensation patterns through a combination of active and passive care. Dr. Taylor uses
functional movement assessment, rehabilitation exercise, soft tissue techniques, and chiropractic
adjustments to treat the root cause of your concern. Dr. Taylor prides himself on putting the needs of his patients first. He brings a calm demeanor, upbeat energy, intent and authenticity to the treatment room.
Dr. Taylor was born and raised in the small town of Wasilla, Alaska. With a keen interest
in athletics, nutrition and the outdoors, he grew up participating in a large variety of
sports while adventuring all over Alaska. This lifestyle sparked a fascination for
biomechanics and kinesiology, which led him to an Exercise Science degree from
Eastern Oregon University, during which Dr. Taylor was also a sprinter for the men’s
track & field team.
After college, he then furthered his studies at the University of Western States in
Portland, Oregon where he completed his Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree. Dr.
Taylor also graduated with a Masters of Science degree in Sports Medicine, allowing
him to gain extensive hands-on experience working with and treating diverse groups of
athletes. This included numerous events including hockey tournaments, martial arts,
dance competitions, rodeos, adaptive sporting events as well as helping with high
school sports such as football, basketball and track & field. This specific involvement in
acute injury management shed further light on the vital role that chiropractic care can
play in athletic performance and treating all areas of the body.
When not treating patients, Dr. Taylor is spending time with his partner, their daughter
(Kinley) and 3 dogs (Juneau, Archer & Lincoln). He also enjoys maintaining an active
lifestyle through weightlifting, hiking, hunting/fishing, snowboarding, MMA/Jiu-jitsu, and
playing basketball.

Dr. Joe Farris DC

Dr. Joe Farris, a native of Shinnston, West Virginia, is a sports chiropractor. After earning a bachelor’s degree at West Virginia Wesleyan College in exercise science, he attended New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) where he earned his doctorate of chiropractic. Upon graduating from NYCC, Dr. Joe relocated to Seattle, WA where he practiced for 7.5 years working for a highly esteemed sports medicine clinic. During his time in Seattle, Dr. Joe had the pleasure of working with humans from all walks of life - post-surgical, pre/postpartum, professional athletes, and outdoor enthusiasts.
Dr. Joe utilizes hands-on soft tissue work, joint manipulation, cupping, kinesiotaping, and functional rehabilitation services with his patients. Whether you’re a marathoner, rock climber, snowboarder, or a weekend warrior, he strives to treat the patient as a whole and not chase symptoms. Dr. Joe’s goal is to get you to move freely, move more, and educate you for longevity!
Dr. Joe is ecstatic about relocating to Bend. He is looking forward to putting down roots with his wife (Ashli), son (Miles), and dog (Morty). Growing up, he was a tri-sport athlete (football, basketball, and baseball), but his interests quickly shifted upon moving to the Pacific Northwest. In his spare time, you can catch him on the trails, backpacking, rock climbing, fly fishing (poorly), snowboarding, or learning to mountain bike.

Dr. Macy Earl DC

Dr. Macy Earl is originally from Saskatchewan, Canada, where her chiropractic journey began. She earned her undergraduate degree in kinesiology from the University of Saskatchewan, where her passion for health, science and rehabilitative medicine grew. During her undergraduate years, Dr. Macy served as a medical trainer for university sports teams, gaining valuable experience in treating various sports injuries and implementing rehabilitation protocols. This exposure, combined with her passion for science and helping others, ultimately steered her towards a career in chiropractic.
In pursuit of her Doctorate of Chiropractic, Dr. Macy relocated to San Jose, California, where she graduated with honors from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in 2024. Throughout her academic journey, she actively participated in sports council, where she worked to bring chiropractic care to community sporting events. Furthermore, during her studies, she moved to Chicago to complete a preceptorship at a Veterans Affairs hospital, where she collaborated within an interdisciplinary team of surgeons, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care to veterans.
Dr. Macy acquired certifications in instrument-assisted soft tissue techniques and FAKTAR certification to effectively address scar tissue and myofascial adhesions. Moreover, she is proficient in therapeutic tapping and a variety of soft tissue treatment techniques.
While Dr. Macy's initial passion centered on sports rehabilitation, she is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to individuals from all walks of life. Her approach encompasses rehabilitation through a blend of soft tissue therapy, joint mobilizations and tailored exercise regimens, aiming to alleviate pain and promote preventive and wellness care.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Macy enjoys spending her free time golfing, hiking, skiing, coaching softball and immersing herself in the outdoors.

Tiki Charvat, Office Manager

Tiki is a native Oregonian and graduated from SOU in 2008 where she studied Human Services and Healthcare Management.  She has spent the last ten years working in residential mental health and with crisis response teams to help members in her community connect with resources.
Tiki has worked with several healthcare providers to open and staff their practices and was one of the first people to open a covid testing clinic at the beginning of the pandemic.
In her free time, Tiki loves to cook and garden and will find any excuse for an impromptu camping trip.  If not in the office or whipping up something in the kitchen she can be found outside with her kiddos and two pound mini chihuahua, Mildred.

Marti Border, Front Desk & Billing

Marti grew up in Napa, California and then spent 27 years in Alaska.  While enjoying the beauty of Alaska she received her Associates Degree in Computerized Accounting.  She then went on to receive her CPC coding Certificate and pursue her path in Medical Billing and Insurance.  She enjoys bicycling and hiking and plans to stay long term in Bend taking advantage of all the outdoor activities it offers.
